What happens before my session?
Once you’ve secured your session date and time by paying the session retainer fee, I’ll send over a Getting to Know You Questionnaire. This helps me get to know your family and children’s personalities so our session goes as smooth as possible. Not sure what to wear? No worries! I’ll also be sending over a What to Wear Guide and link to my Pinterest board for oodles of wardrobe inspiration!
What will my session be like?
This adorable little girl whispered to her mom during their family session, “Can Miss Tanya come over sometime for a playdate?”
I was so flattered that I actually got tears in my eyes. I knew I must be doing something right.
My Family sessions are more like a playdate and less like a photo shoot. I take the time to let your kids warm up to me, which allows them to see how much fun we’ll have! I don’t put a time limit on the session because every child is different, and sometimes we are having so much fun, we lose track of time. You can expect it to last around 1 hour.
Where can we have our session?
This really depends on the mood you’d like to portray in your images. A lot of clients love the natural field sessions that I do here in Lorton VA. It’s a great location with plenty of areas to explore and run around. For those clients wanting a more urban vibe, we head to in Old Town Alexandria VA. Have a great idea for your session’s location? I always love travelling to new places!
What happens after the session?
Once your session is complete, I’ll download your images and cull them to the best 30. Then I’ll bring them into photoshop and enhance the color, sharpness and add a bit of my mojo magic. Your images are ready in about 3 weeks and I’ll contact you to schedule your at home Design & Ordering Consultation. It’s a great complimentary service that I provide to all my clients and gives you the opportunity to show me your wall space and where you plan on displaying your portraits.
