Despite the pictures shown, this little 3 week old darling spent most of her session awake. She was so alert and watched me intently as I photographed her. We finally tired her out in the last 45 minutes of the session and I busily snapped as many sleeping poses as I could. My friend Erin was gracious enough to allow me to photograph her brand new baby boy. Most of the newborns I’ve photographed are around two weeks old, and they tend to be less sleepy. This guy made us work hard for those sleepy poses even though he was only 6 days old. It was well worth all our hard work. Thank you Erin and Grandma for helping me position and soothe him. This little gal kept me & her mom on our toes. I had to break out my baby whisperer skills & swaddling techniques to get her to sleep! Brings me back to the days when my girls were babies. I enjoyed meeting you little Phoebe and hope to photograph you again sometime! Thanks to Mom, Dad & Grandma for making the trek from Old Town down to Lorton. I enjoyed getting to know you all. =)
