I really love maternity photography sessions as they symbolize new beginnings, a new, exciting phase of your life. This was a new beginning for me as well. I have been driving by these fields since this spring with the intention of someday having a session there. I was so excited when my clients agreed to meet me at the field. The weather and light were perfect and we captured some beautiful moments. I can’t wait to meet your little baby girl….

As I was working on these images from my Old Town session yesterday, I really started thinking about capturing connections within relationships. A connection can be seen by the way someone looks at the person they love, how they hold them, or other small subtle gestures. This is why I love my job so much. I love freezing those moments in time so my clients can look back at these memories. Thank you so much E, J & baby N for giving me a glimpse into your relationship & life.

C Family | Georgetown DC Metro Family Photographer
October 10, 2010This was the first time I had a family photo session in the Georgetown area of Metro Washington, DC. I was a bit intimidated by the idea of photographing three children, but I couldn’t have asked for a more laid back, friendly family. One of the awesome perks of my job is meeting new people, and this family made me feel like an old friend. Thanks for being my tour guide in Georgetown. This may be my new favorite place to shoot!
