I couldn’t get over the head of hair this little beauty had on her head. She wins the prize so far with all the newborns I’ve photographed. I really enjoyed hanging out and putting my baby whisperer skills to the test. (Yes, I had a previous client call me that.) This little one was a bit older at 6 weeks. We managed to snap a few images of her sleeping, but for the most part, she wanted to see what was going on. She was extremely alert and very easy going. Thanks “G” family for inviting me in your home to capture those precious moments.

I think we picked one of the hottest day of the year to do our session. We tried to beat the heat by heading to Old Town Alexandria for a morning photography shoot, but as I was driving, my car thermometer read 94 degrees! Despite the heat, we still had a great time playing ball and hanging out. This little guy is definitely all boy and loves playing ball, and his Thomas the Train. Thanks “C” family for coming out and enduring the heat and humidity, it was well worth it.

This is my beautiful niece Paige. She holds a special place in my heart, as I became an Aunt for the first time when she was born. When I was a teen, I spent a summer being her Nanny in Illinois. I have many fond memories of watching her grow, take her first steps, and eat new foods.
While I was home in June visiting my family in North Dakota, I asked her if she would be interested in being my model. She happily agreed! Thanks Paige for enduring the voracious mosquitos which nearly carried us away.

I was so excited when Suzie Celentano of centeredbeing contacted me for a last minute shoot for her Yoga DVD’s. My immediate idea was to head outdoors and incorporate nature with the art of yoga. We had a fantastic time being outside at sunset. I enjoyed meeting you Suzie and all your yogi’s. Namaste!

This little gal kept me & her mom on our toes. I had to break out my baby whisperer skills & swaddling techniques to get her to sleep! Brings me back to the days when my girls were babies. I enjoyed meeting you little Phoebe and hope to photograph you again sometime! Thanks to Mom, Dad & Grandma for making the trek from Old Town down to Lorton. I enjoyed getting to know you all. =)

What more could a photographer ask for? A beautiful baby and a perfectly lit home. I really enjoyed spending the afternoon with this lovely family in Alexandria. Thank you for inviting me in to chronicle Baby Z’s first days of life.

I met this stunning expecting mother in a doctor’s office. I went out on a limb and gave her my card. I’m so glad that I did! We had a fabulous time walking around Old Town finding fun places to shoot. Thank you for being my maternity model and best wishes on your upcoming arrival.

Here are a few more snapshots of my gorgeous little cousin Ariana. I can’t get over the full head of hair she has. She let me get lots of sleeping pictures. What a dream baby!

There seems to be a trend with blue eyes lately. Most of the kids I’ve photographed have them! This little guy was a huge explorer. We had a great time in Old Town walking around and playing.
