About Tanya Rey, a Northern Virginia Photographer
Where I'm from...
- I grew up in a very small farming community in the northeastern corner of North Dakota (20 miles south of Canada and 20 miles west of Minnesota). When you look out the front window of my parents' home, you will see a field and a dirt road. I love my country roots, you betcha.
Little tidbits about me...
- I can grill up a mean steak. I can carry on a simple conversation in Spanish. I buy the glass bottles of coke, there's nothing more refreshing than drinking an ice cold coke out of the bottle. I recycle as many things as I can, so we only put out one bag of garbage a week, if that. I love 80s hairbands. I taught myself how to knit (see some of my newborn sessions).
If I could switch bodies with anyone...
- it would be with Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland. I love her voice and their music. To be on stage entertaining the crowd would be my biggest dream come true. Just don't ask me to sing, I reserve my singing to the shower or when I'm behind the wheel.
I am a huge techno geek...
- I built my own desktop computer a few years back when I was 8 months pregnant with my youngest daughter. I researched, bought all the pieces and put it all together. It was very rewarding, but I vowed to never do it again!
I love getting to know my clients...
- When you book your session with me, one of the things I will ask you to fill out is a client questionnaire. I love hearing your story of how you met your husband or partner, the quirky things about you or your kids, etc.
I can't wait to hear your story...
